Lakota West pair, Moeller QB named all-stars

Three area football players have committed to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl on Jan. 2 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Lakota West seniors - tight end Alex Smith (North Carolina commit) and offensive lineman Kevin Schloemer (UC commit) - along with Moeller senior quarterback Andrew Hendrix (Notre Dame commit) are expected to play in the all-star game.
The game begins at 5 p.m. and will be live televised by Fox College Sports."We are very proud to have them (Smith and Schloemer) representing Lakota West, the GMC and the entire state of Ohio and they are looking forward to playing against some of the nation's top high school players," Lakota West coach Larry Cox said.
Moeller junior defensive lineman Jesse Hayes (6 feet 4, 230 pounds) has been offered a scholarship from Wisconsin. Hayes also has offers that include North Carolina State, Kentucky and Indiana.
Lakota West junior offensive lineman Ryan Kelly (6-5, 255) has been invited to participate in the Under Armour Top 100 underclassmen combine in Florida during the week of the All-American game in January.
