A three-school race for Florida CB
2010-02-04
Tony Grimes talked about what he's been up to since his senior season ended a couple months ago.
"I've been playing basketball and playing in the all star games," Grimes said. "I played in the Offense/Defense All American Bowl and had a great time. It was a real good experience for me competing against guys from all over like that."
Grimes, 6-feet and 180 pounds, landed over 20 scholarship offers this year and he has narrowed his list down to three with less than two weeks left until signing day.
"I'm still considering Michigan, Maryland, and Ole Miss," he said. "I went to Michigan and Maryland during the season and I am going to Ole Miss this weekend."
Grimes, who said he didn't host any coaches for in-home visits this week, talked about what he'll be looking for when it comes time to make a decision.
"I'll sit down and compare how the three of them are after my visit this weekend," he said. "The biggest thing I'm looking for is finding a place that can get me to the NFL. That's my goal."
As of now, Grimes doesn't expect to take an official visit the weekend of the 29th and plans on a signing day announcement.
