Atlanta 7v7 Tournament Preview:

Our inaugural 7v7 season is off and running, with teams from across the United States battling one another every weekend. The goal for each squad is to showcase their talent and capability to win against the top teams in the country. Our organization is teaming alongside Cam Newton’s C1N foundation to create a series of qualifier events across the country.This weekend we roll into C1N’s hometown, Atlanta GA.  

As we head to Atlanta this weekend, Cam is gunning to win the title where he got his start. That will be a challenging task with the level of competitors coming to battle the ATL. Here’s a preview and who to watch this weekend!

Team: C1N

Director: Cameron Newton

Ages: 15U, 18U

C1N will have over 200 athletes from their organization compete in this event with 4 teams in each age division. Many of the top prospects in the country will compete on one of these 8 teams over  the weekend.

Player Spotlight

  1. Travis Hunter, Collins Hill High School(2022) Travis is as advertised. The #1 ranked prospect in Georgia for 2022 has freakish ability not only at DB but at WR as well. The Florida State University commit has taken over the 7v7 stage.
  2. Holden Geriner, Benedictine Military School(2022) At 6’3 this PRO style QB is one of the best. The Auburn University commit has offers and interest from Power 5 schools all over the country. His fundamentals and deep ball accuracy has proven to be a nightmare for opponents this 7v7 season. 

Joseph Stone Jr, Grayson HS(2024) This GA product is one of the best upcoming WR in the nation. With offers such as University of Georgia and FSU coming in the last month this 6’0 ATH competes well on both sides of the ball.

Player Spotlight

  1. Ronnie Royal, Gulf Shores High School(2024) The 5’10 ATH does it all,  MaxPreps Freshman of the Year while having 2800 all purpose yards and 35 touchdowns. Gulf Coast will expect big things from this young man all weekend as he will become one of the most highly recruited players in the country.
  2. Miguel Mitchell, Oxford High School(2022) Mitchell is a 6’4 200 FS/DB that can play anywhere on the defense. His ability to play pass coverage while also being a factor in defending the run game is an easy reason why he is getting SEC offers.

Player Spotlight

  1. Jaylin Marshall, Hallandale High School(2022) Jaylin Marshall a 4 Star Arizona State commit is a S/DB who stands at 6’3 190 who can fly all over the field. Ranked as the 22nd best Safety in the country he looks to lead his team against some of the best competition on the East Coast.

  2. Siraj Muhammad, Central High School(2022) Siraj is a gritty DB from the state of Alabama at 5’10 he is extremely athletic and will have the potential to showcase his ability on the biggest stage in Atlanta.

Player Spotlight

  1. Davin Anderson, St Joseph Catholic School (2022) At 6’4 240 Davin is extremely athletic and a force on the Defensive side of the ball. He plays DE/LB and the anchor on this Mississippi Speed Team. Current Offers include Mississippi Gulf Coast, NW Community College, COLIN Community college, Coahoma community College, Itawamba community college.
  2. Jerrian King, St Joseph Catholic School (2023) King listed at 5’10 150-pound cornerback who has good ball skills and runs a 4.47 forty. King will be put in a major spotlight this weekend as he will go up against some of the top WR in the nation. Mississippi Speed will look for this guy to blossom in Atlanta.
