Zach Calzada: Zach is having a great year for the Texas A&M Aggies after being thrown into action Week 2 of the College Football season against the University of Colorado after starting Quarterback Haynes King fractured his ankle early in the game against the Buffaloes. Since being named the starter, the Aggies are 3-2 after beating Mizzou this past weekend, but had the upset of the year beating Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide in Aggieland 41-38. Zach is an Offense-Defense Alumni that attended numerous events in the past which then jumpstarted his relationship with Offense-Defense Quarterback Guru Ray Isaac. Ray is the head instructor of the “Ray Isaac Sniper School” powered by Offense-Defense Sports.
Sean Taylor Jersey Retirement: On Sunday, October 17th The Washington Football Team retired former safety Sean Taylor’s Jersey #21 for good. Sean was an Offense-Defense camper before his college days at The University of Miami. Sean bursted onto the NFL scene after being drafted fifth overall by the team formerly known as the “Washington Redskins”. Sean has been praised as one of the best to ever play the Safety position and we are proud to have him forever cemented in the Offense-Defense fraternity.
Deandre Hopkins: Former Offense-Defense Camper had himself a day against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. With only four targets on the day Deandre racked up 3 receptions for
55 yards and averaging 18.33yards per catch & two touchdowns. But the real reason he’s on this week’s Alumni Spotlight was his catch at the beginning of the 2nd quarter where he left THREE browns defenders in the dust. Yes, he scored on this play.
Marvin Jones: Former Cincinnati Bengal and Detroit Lion receiver Marvin Jones seems to be one of the lone superstars on a very young Jacksonville Jaguars team which also includes another
O-D Alum LB Myles Jack. In the NFL’s annual game in London Marvin racked up 7 receptions for 100 yards and 1 TD which ended up closing the lead on the Miami Dolphins before the end of the first half. Jaguars ended up kicking a game winning Field Goal as time expired to win their first game since the start of the 2020 season.
Lamar Jackson: The Man the Myth the Legend did it again this weekend but it may not show up on the stat sheet which, for Lamar is VERY surprising. Lamar was 19-27 167 yards with 1 passing TD and 2 interceptions along with 3 rushes for 27 yards. Although he didn’t light up the stat sheet on Sunday the Ravens handily beat the Chargers 34-6 giving Lamar the most wins for a Quarterback (35) under the age of 25! On top of that the University of Louisville will be retiring the number Lamar’s jersey on November 13th.Nobody else in the history of the Louisville Football program will wear the number 8. We are proud of Lamar and all his accomplishments on and off the field and look forward to watching his continued success.
