New Orleans, LA – Super Bowl 59 featured a variety of former OD bowl participants and campers. Most notably, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and Deandre Hopkins all balled out. Ultimately Barkley and Hurts came away victorious in a dominant 40-22 rout over the Chiefs.

Jalen Hurts becomes yet another alum to win Super Bowl MVP. Hurts was well deserving after posting 17/22, 221 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and 1 rushing touchdown stat line. It’s great to see Hurts reach that mountaintop in a nearly perfect outing. He was able to finish the story and get revenge for the loss suffered in Super Bowl 57.

Saquon Barkley finished the game with 57 rushing yards as well as 40 receiving yards in a nearly 100 total-yard performance. While he has put up video game numbers throughout this season he had more of a back-to-reality showing in this game. That being said, his impact could not be stated enough as the Chief’s entire gameplan was to stop him. The attention to Barkley helped set up other big-time playmakers such as AJ Brown and Devonta Smith for the birds.

On the other side of things, Deandre Hopkins hauled in an 11-yard touchdown in his Super Bowl debut. An all-time great in Hopkins got his chance to put his name in the history books forever.
