Registration privacy notice, including children's privacy

Only parents register

Accounts are for parents and legal guardians aged 18 or over. Children do not create accounts, and we never ask an athlete for their own email address or phone number. Every message about a registration goes to the parent.

What we collect, from the parent

• Your name, email, phone and address, so we can confirm the registration and reach you.
• Your athlete's name, date of birth, graduating class, school, positions, height, weight and shirt size, so coaches can group athletes safely by age and size.
• An emergency contact, used only if something happens at an event.
• Your answer on photos and video, and when you gave it.
• Card payments are handled by Stripe. Offense-Defense never sees or stores card numbers or security codes.

Children's privacy

Information about athletes under 13 is provided by their parent, used only to run the camp or event they are registered for, and never sold, rented or used to market to the child. We do not send texts or emails to children.

You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your athlete's information by emailing info@o-d.com or calling 843-903-1888. Deleting it may mean we cannot keep your athlete's place at an upcoming event.

Nominations

Coaches and parents can nominate a player for the All-American Bowl at o-d.com/nominate. A nomination asks for the parent or guardian's name, email and phone. A player's own email or phone is optional, and we do not ask for it at all for players in 7th grade and younger.

The person who nominates cannot agree to emails or texts for the family. We send the parent or guardian one email asking them to confirm. Until they do, we do not contact the family about the nomination. Texts are sent only if the parent or guardian says yes to them on the confirmation page.

The help chat on our website

When you use the chat on our website, we save the conversation: your questions, the answers, the page you were on and the time. O-D staff read saved chats to follow up on questions the chat could not answer and to make the website easier to use. Answers are written by an automated assistant.

If you are signed in to your O-D account, the saved chat is linked to your account so we can follow up with you. If you are not signed in, it is not linked to you.

Please do not type personal details into the chat, such as phone numbers, addresses, or anything about a child's health. Saved chats are not used to market to anyone. You can ask us to delete a chat by emailing info@o-d.com.

How long we keep it

We keep registration records while your account is active and for a limited period after your athlete's last event, so we can answer questions about payments, refunds and awards. After that we delete or anonymise them.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run the registration and the website for us: Stripe (payments), our database host, our email provider, and Anthropic, whose AI model writes the help chat's answers. We do not sell personal information.
